All for the benefit of having a centralised point whereby all members’ contact information can be found at ease in a managed list – hereafter called the Directory. The data had been collected voluntarily with the data controllers clear and explicit consent.

What data is being collected?

  • E-mail addresses and names are collected in order to contact Samaj members via e-mail. E-mails are sent using a third-party online based software (such as MailChimp), which is encrypted and claims to never share or sell any data they hold.
  • For the purposes of the Directory, statistical display of financials and event attendances Diu Vanza Darji Samaj UK collects members’ personal information including name, address, telephone numbers, e-mail address, number of family members residing in the household as well as grouping the data by geographical location. This data is being stored using sufficient encryption on a server that can only be accessed by the individuals who have sufficient authority such as the members of the Management Committee.
